Eric Johnson

Classroom Teacher

I joined the teaching staff of Northern Door Children’s Center in March of 2008 and completed six Infant Toddler Loops. I have also taught in the 3K and 4K classrooms.

 In January 2023 I completed my Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education, through the University of Wisconsin, River Falls. This included passing a Foundations of Reading Exam through the WI Department of Public Instruction (DPI). I also hold hold a teaching license for students birth through age eight.

 I always enjoy setting up developmental challenges in the classroom, drawing out learning concepts that encourage cooperation, and coordinating strategies for problem solving. Whether it’s early mathematics or emerging literature, children of any age can investigate ideas, share a game plan, and continue building on skill sets!

In my spare time I am busy practicing Classical Piano, stewarding our local Orthodox Chapel, and walking the State Park nature trails.
