Karen Corekin-DeLaMer
Community Relations Coordinator
4-Year-Old Kindergarten Teacher
I joined the staff of Northern Door Children’s Center in 2003 and previously served as both an Infant Toddler Looping teacher and the Education Coordinator. I am currently the Community Relations Coordinator and part of the 4K teaching team.
I am a graduate of both Texas A & M University and the University of Wisconsin with degrees in Elementary, Special, and Early Childhood Education. In addition, I hold lifetime teaching licenses with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and the Texas Department of Education, I’m a registered Wisconsin Master Adult Instructor, and hold a Credential in Early Childhood Education Leadership from UW Milwaukee. I’ve worked in both public and private school settings over the past four decades, teaching infants, toddlers, preschool, 4K, kindergarten, elementary, middle, high school, and adult students.
I worked in public relations and marketing at my own businesses in Texas, New Hampshire, and part time for businesses in Door County. Currently, I write for the Parent Corner column in the Peninsula Pulse.
When I am not at the Children’s Center, I live in Egg Harbor. I enjoy reading, writing, gardening, and hanging out with my spouse and our “furry four-legged” children.
